I drove a 00 Ram the other day that Im looking into buying. 360 auto. When I gave it gas, and it downshifted, it was pretty smooth. In my 97 F-150 I used to have you could definately feel it kickdown. Is it normal for the Dodge tranny to be smooth??
Also, when I go to start it cold, you have to let it turn over a few times, let go of the key, then turn it over again to start. Only when cold... What could be the problem? The owner said he has taken it to the dealer for it and they said they cant find anything wrong... Could it just need a tune up?
Thanks

you know trying to prime you fuel system is something you should try before you go spending money where you don't have to. all you have to do is keep turning your key on and off till your fuel pump stops making any noise when you turn the key on then try starting it. if it fires right up then i would not worry about the coil.
