I just bought a 1996 dodge 3500. Im wanting to lower it but i cant find a kit anywhere for it. Does anybody know where to find one and how hard would it be to make one my self.
Its a 2wd cummins. Im wanting to put some 24.5 big rig wheels on it with some low pro tires. Im wanting to go low with it but not slammed. Ive looked every where and cant find nothing. I thought about putting a leveling kit on the front but im wanting to lower it more than lifting it.
The vast majority of people buy a 3500 for towing heavy loads and need the height, so there's not much call for aftermarket companies to develop a lowering kit for them. I've seen a few lowered, but I think they were all done custom. Try Eibach, they specialize in lowering trucks.
Most thing I have heard about putting big rig wheels on are you need to get an adapter made so it fits the lugs and I have only seen big rig wheels on trucks with 6" of suspension lift. As rick said if you tow with this and want to lower is bad Idea!!
