Holley throttle body?
It's just a motor, I think you are reading more into this than is actually required. And he doesn't need to swap the pcm if he changes the manifold. And any of the other sensors on the motor(crank and ECT) that don't have matching plugs can just be swapped. So I might be wrong about making it as simple as swapping the intake, but it's not as complicated as what you are stating. Btw, I'm not arguing, just having a friendly debate,
I'm just saying there are incremental differences in PCM programming over 3 years and between an OBDI and OBDII engine. If he was just using the block then there's probably be less of an issue, but I assume he wants to use the whole engine, in which case he will likely need to take the PCM, harness and any sensors from the older engine with it. I don't think it is as simple as dropping in the older engine with the PCM, wiring and sensors already in place and having it run fine.
Now could someone tell me why my sig pic is so small all of a sudden?

zman17 isnt saying to replace the OBD11....he is saying to take all the uncompatible sensors off the 95 motor and retain all the wiring/computer from the 98 ands leave it in the truck....just basically swapping the block and maybe intake..... at least thats how I understood it from the beginning?

yes now heres the thing. You could have totally different sensors on the 95 which was said. I know for a fact that on Mustangs the older (fox's are different then the sn's and they both had a 302 5.0) years have a totally different sensor like not even close to being the same, different shape and all. Not sure how that is on dodges but say you have that issue then what are you gonna do. He would have to tear it down to the block and rebuild it. Which its possible he wasn't planing on doing.

i just have a feeling that it wont work like it should. i guess we'll see won't we. lol
oh btw...i'm about 99.99% positive that you CAN'T swap a single core processor for a dual core processor and keep the same motherboard. the pins wouldn't even line up. not even close.

. Not sure why you would want to this myself OBDII has much more options when you go to mess with it tuning wise
