As someone who's had 3 '70s era Corvettes in the family over the past 10 years, I'd advise you to keep your truck. Friggin' money pits and only unique ones are worth any real money. They aren't as hard to come by as most people think. So glad all 3 are finally gone. Tired of ferrying their owners back and forth to the shop every other week. Daily drivers they are not.
while the vette attracted all the younger women. I told my father ... woah woah woah... whats wrong with this picture. It should be the other way around here, ill trade you for the corvette. lol, obviously didn't trade me, but I did trade the mustang for the truck and thats how I came about on this website. Judging that you only have 3250 into the truck, I really can't see you going wrong with trading it assuming everything checks out good when you look at it. If your on the fence, then ask yourself... how many miles do you have on your truck, how much longer do you think your trans will hold up if it hasn't been replaced, has the plenum issue been taken care of etc. Keep us posted
Thanks for all that info. He says its a 4 speed and it has roll down windows, I have looked on craigs list and cant find hardly any under 6 to 17 k for the price. that looks decent. Gonna call him in morning a gain and find out more about it.its a 2 hour drive for me but I think I owe myself to look at it.
Living in LA where seeing a Testarossa or a Lamborghini is a commonplace, almost daily occurrence, Corvettes just don't raise too much interest around here.
I guess if all you want to do is flip it and pocket the cas, then it might be a good idea, but you have to wonder why anyone would trade a valuable car for a run-of-the-mill pickup truck. Call me a suspicious cynic, but something smells rotten in Denmark.

i've been drooling over the 73 corvettes for years, but i love my truck. that would be a hard decision to make. but you can always get another ram for under 6k just about anywhere and a vette that old in good shape isn't very common.
and i see where laramie is coming from about the snow deal. my camaro doesn't like to keep the rear end lined up with the front in rain, much less snow/ice and i believe a vette has a lighter rear end with much more power so it would be a fishtailing beast on anything other than clean dry pavement.
