ok guys i have to fix all the rust on the fenders (yay dodge is known for ) ... but after the rust i want to put these on anyone have them pics will be nice and do you guys think they will look good on my truck or should i go with the stainless steel trim instead thanks

I was thinking about getting the trim. You can paint them flairs to match the truck. The only issue I have heard from the bush wackers is the break EAZY! I heard this frim guy when I went to the off road park. They don't buy them any more they used some kind of rubber around the wheel wells it was much softer.

 

i am going to do this befor winter get here. Right now the rust is just surface rust but ugly. I have the chrome trim on it right now but it only has about 3/8 of an inch coverage and does nothing at all. You can still see the rust and everything.

Im going to get some wider ones than the pics you have but thats because i have wider tires.

I hope you sand and prime all your rust like im going to or the rust will get worse and someday it will be above your flares and will full rust threw so your SOL if you want to take them off and paint without major body work

I just installed the full long style stainless ones from ebay to hid some repairs I had to do from the previous owners crappy bondo/ paint job.....I like them of course I have the black and stainless thing going on with only accents like door handles and lug nots in chrome/stainless.... I even went with the brushed stainless nerf bars as to not have the tacky too chromes look... was going to get the 4 inch wide ABS flares but at the time I wasnt sure how much $ I'd have to dump into repairing all the mechanics so at $60 the stainless ones were my best option....I think they look good as long as there's not too much other chrome going on. those black ones look too overbearing too me....I've seen some other molded ones that go with the bodylines of the truck better...
