Default limiter question
do we have a limiter and what is it set at and how do i change that .

mine tacks out at 5700 rpms, and stays there, so i know mine doesnt have a rev limiter, but yours could be different. ive had my truck at 120 mph and it was only at 3 1/2 grand, so they got nutzzz

theres a chip you can by that will by-pass it. Not sure where to get it but i know theres one, try ebay or something

i got a superchip tuner and i put mime at 5500 rpms. without that i was maxed out at about 5000 rpm

stock rev limiter is 5200 I believe. Once you hit it, the truck drops spark to every other cylinder to keep you from destroying the engine.

superchips is good it will take the limiter and the governor off your truck

If you have to ask if it has a limiter then why would you want to remove it? Cause obviously if you have to ask, then youv'e never hit it before.

IMO it shouldnt be removed..

first i dont have a tach and my truck is being rebuilt ground up cuz my driver license was revoke so rebuilding my truck in the mean time lol
