Default need help with fuel problem PLEASE!!!!

ok well I left my house on sat. got half a mile down the road and the truck just stop running. I tried starting it and it will just turn over like its not getting any fuel. Also the tank is on half and now the gauage reads empty. so i just put and pump/sending unit in. and nothing same thing. I looked at all the wires to see if any look bad but i didnt see anything that looks bad...So now I am stumped. I also checked all the fuses in the truck and none where bad. If some one can tell me some test or something else to look for it would be great.

Crank position sensor (CPKS): If bad: the ASD relay (automatic shutdown relay) kills all power off to the pump module, the EFI system and the ignition system as well. No spark, no fuel thus no start. It will also affect the sending unit as there's no power to it thus throwing the reading of the tank level off.

It's about 120 bucks for the good OEM direct replacements. Don't go to Crapa Auto and get one- they don't work.

Scenario two: it may be a blown ASD relay. Check it or, simply replace it. It's located in the engine bay, driver side fender, in a black plastic box called the power distribution center (PDC). It's cheap enough to just go get another one or, you can follow the instructions in the Haynes Manual to test it out. You will need a DMM (digital multi-meter).

Can you hear the pump engage?

I would check and make sure the fuel pump relay under the hood is good. Just swap the fuel pump relay with the fog lamp relay as they are the same and see if your truck will start. Also please provide a little more info on your truck.

sorry about that my truck is a 1998 1500 4x4 with a 5.2L Yes i tried the relay switch for the fuel pump and i still can not get the fuel pump to kick on. I need to go get a spark tester to see if i have spark.

Chances are, all your power is dead due to what I posted above.
