supercharger is the most expensive? you have to beef up the whole engine to handle it?

Apperently someone reads too many ads. Not enough research, PM, RM_Indy on here ask him what he has in his SC'd 408. Then see how cheap it is. Amazing what people will believe from an Ad. Not to bust your stones much, but put a little thought into first.

I havent read any ads about it? I almost bought a truck that had been torn down and the block beefed up for one according to the owner..before buying my ram....and that being said I actually was thinking tubocharger and not supercharger so my bad....statement retracted. I read so much about turbos on another site where the guys recommend beefing up the block for turbos but then again they're way smaller engines so.. and I never a peep about superchargers so it was a slip. Still I thought installing a supercharger would cost more than $800 I mean if a high rise hood is needed your half way there just for that right? And no I'm not being sarcastic I really want to know. all I can picture right now is lonewolf McCade pulling out of the ground in his supercharged ramcharger in that Chuck Norris movie I saw when I was like ten.

why did he remove it?
Yeah I see that about the hood....pretty interesting stuff....they do say to use 30lb injectors and 92 octane fuel might be needed. also says may reqiured a way to retard timing to avoid detonation?... Support for these seem to be scarce according to the guys that have them from threads on here and google i've been reading....
powerdyne is the only company that I can find a kit from and I cant even get their site to work right?
Curious, why would 2 months of sitting hurt it?
are they that sensitive?
It just seems there has to be some sort of catch or they would be more common if they were so cost effective for power on a street vehicle?

after doing more reading seems these setups usually go for arounds $2700 so not always a option "not to break the bank" but in your case I would jump on it if it includes all the additional hardware for around $800

i really couldnt tell you a whole lot about them i mean from what iv seen yes they can be that sensative but not always i mean sittin for 2months can hurt alot of things ya know? and injectors and stuff iv only seen needed if you are doing other stuff to the truck i mean his was stock he put the sc on there and was done with it...and he took it off because he bought a cummins now so he didnt wanna give it away with truck...and they are more common than you think i mean i go to the car show/street races every friday and see tons of trucks like mine with them...

all the ones I see for sale mention #24 or #30 injectors and msd adjustable timing setups to avoid detonation which ruins the motor fast....
I just found a complete setup that seemed to have sold for $1600 used on another forum with all the hardware and injectors+msd setup.
check out this site for some info on frequently asked questions from a (biased source)....seems they used to sell a kit for our rams but the links dont work anymore...
