actually the stock replacement lights are pretty dang cheep. and they will look alot better cause you can never actually clean them up to be perfect like bran new. on top of that they are really easy to replace. check ebay, lmc truck, or auto anything
i used one of those damn headlight restore kits, mequires even, and it didnt last 2 weeks. So i did it again except for longer this time and it still only lasted a few weeks. Im done with that ish. Im going to get some cheap headlight replacements.

Yes, I've now done the sandpaper and cleaner trick. While it seemed to remove the yellow, I'd say I've only improved the lumens maybe 35-40%. Better than nothing but still not great. The yellowing did disappear but hey are still "foggy".
harbor frieght has the headlight restorer kit for 3 bucks on sale all the time...I went with ebay halos myself and love em....really updates the look of the front to me while still retaining the 2nd gen style. But to each his own some think they look "ricy" and read into it too much..... even though they are euro style (for european) not japanese.

That's funny because mine were as yellow as a stick of butter. But then I wet sanded it with 600, then 1500, then 2000, then some rubbing compound and finally some plastic polish. They shine like there brand new 6 months later.
