Yes, I've now done the sandpaper and cleaner trick. While it seemed to remove the yellow, I'd say I've only improved the lumens maybe 35-40%. Better than nothing but still not great. The yellowing did disappear but hey are still "foggy".

harbor frieght has the headlight restorer kit for 3 bucks on sale all the time...I went with ebay halos myself and love em....really updates the look of the front to me while still retaining the 2nd gen style. But to each his own some think they look "ricy" and read into it too much..... even though they are euro style (for european) not japanese.

I noticed after the recent rains that there was moisture inside both housings. Shouldn't they be sealed?

That's funny because mine were as yellow as a stick of butter. But then I wet sanded it with 600, then 1500, then 2000, then some rubbing compound and finally some plastic polish. They shine like there brand new 6 months later.

Yeah they should be sealed. if you look close, you'll see a gray rtv type sealant that seals the head light.

They will just fog right back up if you clean them, they might last for a couple of months but these plastic lenses are crap.

Mine last about 6 months before I have to polish them again.
