Looks a little better than the '97 5.2L Hpertech dyno.

Since you have the older OBD-I instead of the newer OBD-II (standard equipment from 1996 on) your options are a little limited on getting the computer tuned in. The guys are suggesting going with a B&G tune which you have to pull your computer and send it out. I've heard good things about their flashes but have no experience with them directly. You can check them out at http://www.bgperformancepcm.com/#magnum
I think your numbers look pretty good for a 5.2 not counting that it is almost 15 years old.

i know i will have to do something with the computer after this weekend. honestly, the truck might not even start after this weekend. i havent found anyone around here that can tell me what to do.

this weekend its getting a valve job (w larger valves), port and polish, and 1.7 rockers. the headers are running a little late as far as shipping goes, but im going to go ahead and do the rest of the work.

i know that fuel will be an issue but i dont know how to "tune" it. im still activily looking in the area i live for a "guru".

Hold on a minute! are you getting all this head work done on the stock heads?

no. originally i was just gonna do a bowl blend on the factory heads. when i found this guy thats gonna do the work for me, he said he had a set of toplines that he would let me have for 100bucks. i did some research and bought them. so...now, im gonna let him do a max effort and see what happens.

however, the mag heads that come factory are actually a pretty good head.

I agree that its a good head just a bad casting process that's prone to cracking.

ive been running a 180 tstat since day one. most of the heads that cracked were either high mileage or over heated/long term uses. also the majority of "prone" cases broke at cylinder 7, so if you do want to work stock heads you just have to pay special attention to that cylinder and use the correct torque settings when putting it back on.

i still dont buy in to the heads being prone to cracking. plenum gaskets are prone to blowing out. cracked mag heads are isolated cases.

Wow, that horsepower sure is impressive!!! NOT! LOL

Atleast torque wasnt that bad. What was done to the engine at the time of the dyno? Anything?

im know its not much HP compared to the 1000HP 5.2L you have, but maybe one day i will gain enough knowledge to make it happen. NOT! LOL

as far as engine mods go... not much really. CAI, ignition, exhaust, some drivetrain mods. nothing major though.
