Guess I'll have to agree to disagree with you. Stock heads crack with the possible exception
of stock r/t heads. My guess is that they brake at cylinder 7 due to the lean condition found
there.

Atleast torque wasnt that bad. What was done to the engine at the time of the dyno? Anything?
Its a 5.2 and I would bet it runs harder than your little stocker. Green is not a good color for you ;-)

Yea, sure...Like i said my 5.2 makes more power than yours. wow. Learn to read dude. I wasnt saying that to say your 5.2 is weak and mine is better. It was just a comment on how s***y the stock HP #'s were for the 5.2 in general. But anyway, Ive been wanting to get a 14/3 round air cleaner for my truck and thought you might have had one on yours. Ive had one in my hand at the autoparts several times, walking to the counter with it. But ive always went and put it back on the shelf. For one reason only tho..Ive heard people say you loose low end torque.(yes here on DF) And i do not want to loose any low end torque, cause after all it is a truck. I wish someone would do a dyno of a before and after the 14:3 air cleaner. Would be pretty cool to know what gains you get and if you loose low end torque. How much do they charge you to dyno your truck where you went? Here i think it was like $75 a pull or somthing. (or maybe it was $75 for 3 pulls at dyno day) I dont know for sure. Id have to check again. Its been a loooong time since i checked. I may dyno mine and do some before/after pulls next dyno day....

comon...thick skin guys. if you are gonna drive a dodge...you gotta have thick skin. especially in the "CHEVY is a religion" part of the world i live in.

as far as gains for the CAI, i really dont know. ive never been a real stickler for the hole 4-5 hp or 3-5 ftlb gains. HP changes from day to day depending on the conditions anyway. (kind of like my weight...250 260 255...who cares)

its the 40 50 60 gains i wanna see.

i didnt pay anything for the dyno. i own a retail store and have lots of customer contacts. theres a speed shop accross town here that ive been doing some work for and he did the dyno for me. jean is also the one thats doing my headwork this weekend.

(he means green with envy) I got it.... and when I read your first post I couldnt tell if you were being sarcastic either so.....maybe it was just a little miscommunication on both ends....
I doubt the air filter will really show any noticable gains on our engines......maybe if you had the 52mm throttlebody mod and a high flow exhaust you might see something but if that were the case a properly designed and installed CAI would make more sense than a 14x3 sucking in all that hotair...
