White letters always look damn good on any vehicle, but they don't look that pretty when you curb them. The whole side wall of the tire is white, and there is only a thin layer of he black rubber covering them up. The first time you blister that rubber, you are going to have a nice white line around your tire.
I hate metric tire sizes sry didn't realize a 255 was 33" doesn't make sense to me
Its pretty easy really. The first number is actually the width of the tire (in mm), while the second number equals the hight of the sidewall, but by a percentage of the width. So, the tires he is getting are 255 mm wide, and the sidewall is 85% of that. To calculate into inches, divide each number by 25.4
Thats a damn good deal for those tires (if they are like new). For 35's on my off road wheels it was $300 PER tire
He claims 4k on them but we shall see dad is going to look at them/pick them up tomorrow. I wont have a truck but so far its worth it. 300 is really not a bad price for a 35" tire and 17" rim.

Hey wait a min you went black letters out. I'm still not sure what I want to do. Black letters out or in.

You are correct. I just didn't want that white ring to deal with. Considering that I have already rubbed them at the bank drive thru, it was a good choice for me.

I get that it just doesn't make sense that they measure that way I have 315x75x16s and they're not wide, I guess I just don't like they have some many ways of measuring tires.
