So I'm browsing craigslist today and found a Ford F-350 SRW for 300 bucks! So I went out to look at it with cash in hand and took one look under the front of the truck and took it away, truck and clean title. Folks...I just got a Front Dana 60, hi-pinion, open knuckle, kingpin axle...all for 260 bucks after I talked him down. He had no idea what he had. Motor is a 351w, with an auto and some junk *** aluminum chaindriven t-case. Body is thrashed but I dont care, I'm gonna pull both axles and the motor since it runs and scrap this pos. Sell the motor for a few bucks...and start planning on a 1-ton swap under my short bed, reg cab, 01 ram. Oh yeah baby, SCORE!

I sold Fords (watch the snake oil / used car salesman jokes)for years, but I drive a Dodge. Whats that tell you? HA! Sounds like you got a nice deal on a part you could flip easy for much more than you paid for it if you decided you didn't want to cross contaminate your Dodge with Ford germs.

 

Yeah Fords in general are crappy, but I'll say this much. My dad's 91 F250 just got it's tranny rebuilt. It lasted him 300,000 miles. A bone stock E4OD. If only I could count on my Dodge to do the same (As much as I love it).
