Default excessive coolant leak

A new problem to add to the list. First of all let me start by saying I have a 98 1500 with the small V-8 when I start my truck I have this loud squealing noise coming from the belt. It sounds like it is coming form one of the pulleys or the tentioners. I am also hearing a lot of gurguling inside my truck. When I give it gas the noise gets louder and a loud scraping noise. The worst part under my truck I have a massive amount of coolant leaking from behind the middle big pulley at the bottom that is where it sounds like it's coming from. My thermostat is running hot also. Please help.

Your water pump is shot. Take the belt off and wiggle the fan around. That means that you water pump bearings are toast. The extra coolant leak is antifreeze coming out of the weep hole. Pretty simple fix.

the large pulley in the middle is the water pump. the bearing and seal inside is probably shot, allowing coolant to leak. check it like said above. any wobble means its shot. if its wobbling - don't drive it. if its just leaking, AND YOU KEEP THE COOLANT FULL, you can drive it to a repair shop or parts store.

when mine went out, it completely ate the bearing and i had to have it towed home.
here was my repair.

When you say the thermostat is running hot, do you mean the temp gauge? When i did my water pump, besides the new pump and gasket, I did the bypass hose(small hose located on top of the water pump), just casue i was in there, and they are a PITA if they fail( i also mostly destroyed mine removing the pump). I also drained and flushed the radiator and did the upper and lower hoses. If you suspect an issue with the thermostat, replace it.

"Fixed" changed the water pump still has a squel to it but its the tensioner pully and i only know this because it was so rusted up i had to pretty much jump on it to get it to give alittle to get the belt off also i can spray silcone on the spring which is rusted and the noise goes away
