Default blend door plastic interposer fix

of course mine was broke like everyone elses so i pulled it apart and and brain stormed on a fix.

First i cut slits in it so i could epoxy it back together no pics sorry.
Then i superglued the crack and clampped it back together till it was dry.
After it was dry i filled the slits with epoxy and let that dry.
When that was dry i still thought it would crack so i searched the house for anything that would work and bingo it fits in thin wall PVC just a little tap from a hammer and it slides right in and from the pics you can see what i did. works great so far.

I believe my blend door is broke also. Where do you begin? Where is it? How do you get to it? I really need to fix this - it's driving me crazy.....

check the interposer first they break alot.

it’s on the passenger side right next to the tranny tunnel there will be a black box about the size of a pack of smokes with one visible Phillips in it the other is closer to the firewall (you will need a 90 degree screwdriver that that one) back the one out on the firewall side and remove the one closest to you and you can pull the actuator out of the way then the interposer will connect the actuator to the blend door. the rest is easy.

Are you talking about the door sensor for the inside lights? Mine got pushed in from when I went camping a few weeks ago. (I used a log to push it closed to stop the ding ding ding) I fixed it with a pad of duck tape. Not the best looking buts its a cheap fix.

The OP doesn't give any info about his truck as usual, but I believe it is a later model, that use a small gear driven box to operate the blend door. You 95 is simply cable operated.
