So if i dovetail the bed of my truck will i be able to drive it on the road or will that be againts the law. ive never heard of anyone getting in trouble for it but i have also never seen someone do it
no reason you shouldn't be able to drive it, may have to craft some removable fenders for highway driving though, then take them off when you hit the trail
as far as fenders go, depending on tire size (im talking BIG, remembering you want to go with rockwell axles) you could use a set of fenders for the front tires of a FWA tractor, ive seen it done
Bushwacker only goes 5" I think and there BIG $$$$$. Hand made ones would be cool. Plus the sheet meat from the bed gives you a start to mess around with.
ha ha, thats pretty cool, do you have to have fenders? rails are street legal
It varies from each state. Here in MI (which is really quite lenient), they require an attempt be made to cover the tires if they are beyond the fenders. But in Florida, ha, when I go to vacation over there I see trucks with 40+" tires sticking a foot from the fenders all the time.
