Wiring diagram
best bet is just to buy the Haynes repair Manual (24.99) it has all the wiring diagrams, plus all fixtures. its worth it IMO
I had an electrical problem searched for hours for free diagrams...there is none, so the manual is the best bet

I know, quite a cluster trying to find it.
I found this
http://www.fostertruck.com/images/Ram_wire_diagram.jpg
But its of limited value, as it doesn't even say what year, plus its not complete.
Most search results are either scam sites, someone trying to sell one, or people asking where to get one.

Well I ran into some **** with an on going alternator saga.

Anyways, this guy was doing a voltage regulator bypass for me, which passes off that function from the computer to a dedicated voltage regulator.
One wire ties into the field voltage wire that goes to the computer, the other to a key on power source.
He messed up and hooked it to a wrong wire, blew a fuse and toasted the voltage regulator.
So we go to murrays and get another fuse and regulator, no big deal, just $15 which he insisted on paying, since it was his goof.
So he hooks it up to the right wire this time, and it charges great, 14V, just like it should.
Problem is now when I put it in drive, it dies immediately, cuts right off.
So apparently, he fried something else, my truck was not doing this before, in fact has never died like that in the 7 years I have had it.
Just drive though, it starts up & idles fine, will go in reverse and low gears, but drive kills it.
Am getting a tranny pressure sensor code too, so I wanted to see if the wire, which is dark green w/orange stripe, leads anywhere to the tranny.

the DIY links have a service manual download that may have what you are looking for. I haven't downloaded it so can't say for sure. I have a printed manual for 1997. Not sure where the dg/or wire is you speak of. But there is a wire that goes from the generator to the trans control relay which is connected to the auto shut down relay. Problem maybe there.
This sucks, a simple alternator swap that should have been complete in half an hour, my truck has been down 2 weeks and now it won't even move.
Its throwing a PO748 code, never got that before until yesterday.
This concerns the pressure solenoid in the trans pan, if I'm lucky I'll trace down a short, if not then it must have been zapped, and I'll have to drop the damn pan and get another solenoid, along with $40 of fresh fluid.
So what I need it the wiring layout to the solenoid.

This is the complete shop manual for the 03 ram. Pretty large but worth a look, has full diagrams for everything. Might help you might not.
