its truely easy. the guy saying its not I have no idea what he is talking about unless he doesn't have the 4 doors. I have rear doors so they open and right there is everything. 2 screws in the middle and plastic clips all around. the only thing that may give you trouble is if the plastic clips break. thats the only thing I can think of.

Well I'm saying it's much harder with an extended cab (quad cabs didn't come out until 1998). His doors don't open, and there's things that overlap the trim panel, like the rear seat. It's a pretty time consuming for how simple it is. (simple, not open the door and pop it off)

Thumbs up

Thanks guys. you've been very helpful. Ram_me i think you have the same type of cab and pretty much nailed the complexity of getting to the speakers. I appreciate the instructions i guess i'm gonna try gettin the panels out. I'll let you know how it goes when i get there. Thanks again

Good to hear that your gonna give it a try. But now I'm in a dilema. My front tweeters in the A pillars have blown or something. Am I going to have to remove the dash to take the covers off? And where can I get a replacement?

I have been looking online and have found that lots of people have this issue on their jeeps. I did find a few threads here on DF but they were for durangos and I don't think that the info will cross but I don't know. I checked e-bay and no luck yet. Gonna have to keep looking.

Well I have the same setup and did this yesterday.....very easy....first take the 4 bolts holding the back seat in out and remove the seat....then remove the 5 or 6 screws holding the panel on and start at the top middle above the window and push up and out....then just pop the rest off and move away....you can replace the speaker easily without fully removing the panel via removing the seat belt.....I have to do the otherside tomorrow as today I was busy running all the wires and hooking up my amps and sub.....finally tunes that dont get drowned out by the engine rumble.....
