the CTM for my 01 reg cab ST, manual everything is
mopar # 56020157AC
trw # 200986-102

both the old one and the new one are the same part number.
it looks drastically different from yours.

mine is about 2" x 3" and 1.5" thick.
it has only one white connector on the end, 14 pins in 3 sections (6, 2, 6).
i think my white connector is the same as yours, but i don't have a green connector at all.
i think you have the "high line" and i have the "standard".

Thanks for the info dhvaughn.

Yes, the High-Line version is a bit bigger than that. After a little trip to the junkyard I was able to locate a VERY similar CTM from an '01 Dodge Ram with the High-Line version. I plugged it in and the 'ignition dinger' started working (previously was not...I guess I didn't miss it , but the power windows/locks/power seat/dome light etc. wouldn't work.

Now I examined the Part Numbers and they are every so slightly different in the revision.

My '01 Dodge Ram 1500 CTM P/N = P56045448AE , built 6-01

The Junked '01 Dodge Ram 1500 CTM P/N = 56045448AD, built 11-00.

The only difference I can see is that My Ram is Revision 'E' vs. the Junked Ram is the previous version 'D'.

I guess my question is...If I got the '01 Junked Ram's CTM Version 'D' flashed it would work? I'm not certain what would be the change in the revision from version 'D' to 'E'.

Thoughts?

I"ll msg parts/service per your advice.

Thanks!

i don't know. we're past what i know about these things.
member parts/service is a good contact.
this ebay seller might be able to explain them. he has several listed, but not your specific part number.

John,

The CTM controls anything that is on a Timer, including the ignition Halo, Dome/Map lights etc and Headlight timer.

so maybe, I would do as the other users are doing is go to the junk yard ask them to kindly donate one to you run to your truck plug it in and see if it works. or you can have someone with a Snap on Tool test your electricle system.

Ok i know what the CTM does and what not, but where in the heck is it at? I know where the chime module box is but where is the CTM itself located? my ignition halo doesnt work along with my dome/map lights. but everything else works. also my cruise doesnt work.

so where is the CTM on a 1995 Dodge RAM 1500?

Thanks

Dodgeman41291/Ken

I don't think the 95 has one..... that was more a product of the 98 and up trucks. I would more suspect you have a blown fuse somewhere.

No i checked with the dealership and it does have one,

again the CTM controls the ignition Halo, the headlight timer, PW, PL, etc.

they didnt have one on the 1st GEN. pre 1992 i dont think.

I just need to find one, I think its below the little plastic square box on the floor board, and it says SRS on it but I dont know if its for the air bag.

Time delay relay. It's in the fuse block, drivers side of the dash. Top left corner as you are standing in the door looking at it.
