a combination of a few things...

1 i have a custom flash by CaplinSpeed

2 my truck is OBD1

3 i only have one o2 sensor(and its stock...lol). it is placed at the front of the cat in its factory setup. since it is at the front of the cat it only senses raw exhaust o2 ratios. by placing the o2 sensor right after the exhaust is combined it is still sensing raw exhaust o2. there is not a "post cleanup" sensor so my truck never really new if the cat was doing its job anyway.

Yea they don't test here either. Supposed to but nobody even bothers. So My question now is since I have a 98 and have the 2 sensors how can I eliminate my cat without throwing a code. I've heard just unplug the aft sensor as well as put the aft sensor out of the flow. So any suggestions? I wanna ago straight pipe.

there was a time not long ago when they didnt test here in NY either..... now they even barcode the emissions inspection sticker and scan them at roadblocks to prevent people from using bootleg stickers...
