Default Homebrew Cat Replacement

well i finally cut the stock cat housing out. i didnt really feel like orderinig a y pipe or spending big bucks on a piece of pipe. i went to a friend of mines and got some leftovers and bought an 8 dollar tip...

i cut the factory o2 sensor bung out and welded it to my homemade y pipe. im no welder but by george it aint going anywhere. lol

Your welding skills (or lack their of) are about the same as mine. But hey, it works, and the price is right.

How's it feel to be a "fabricator"?

all i had was some 7014 rods and the welder was turned all the way down...they were still freaking hot.

but hey...its exhaust and its under the truck. i know it wont fall apart because i had to beat the hell out of it to get it in.

go with what you got right?

im fixing to install dougs shorties and didnt want a gutted cat crapping up the sound. thats the only real difference.

as far as pics go installed...we will see. im pretty embarrassed about my welding. its so NOT easy to weld laying on your back under a truck...lol.

Thats kinda what I was gunna do, you did a good job. If you want it to look a little better, just sray it with some heat paint, it makes the pipe colour match and takes attention off welds

Ok so my question is how are you keeping the computer from throwing a code now that the cat is gone?
