Default off road bumper

has anyone built a off road bumper for there dodge? i'm looking to make one but i'm not sure where to start. i want to mount a winch at some point so any advice would help.

i have a 2001 dodge ram 2500 4x4

sorry, to fast of a post... the 98 is a ruenell... its what the 75 was built off of

i didn't see the last part of that... okay well that doesn't really help.. i know i can go spend about 400 on a arb off road bumper( i have a dealer discount) but i think it would be more bad *** to have a homemad one...

its okay man.. 400 dollars for a ARB is a dam good deal and i'd probly spent 250-325 on the steel plus 10+ hours on the bumper so i'll spend a little extra and buy the bumper.. why not since i get it half of price. i'm thinking about the rear bumper *** well. that would be nice
