Default tip to adjust power band

I have an 01 with a 5.2 and i recently had a new cat back system installed along with a 14" round K&N ac. when the truck was factory i was able to peg out the speedo(with enough road) but now it tops out at about 110. i wouldnt care about that so much if it still had the low end torque it had when factory.the power band is really agressive from about 3000-4200. wanting to know wether anybody know of a "cheap" way to to get a bit more lower end torque

The truck was designed with low end torque in mind from the factory. There's really not much you can do to get it back without spending a lot of $$$.

I lose bottom end when I put my 14x3 on, plus I hate the noise. So I run the stock box. Put yours back on and let us know if you feel a difference.

if your exhaust is opened up too much then you loose low end torque.
Steve05ram360 proved this. he put dual exhaust on his truck and kept it 2.5" all the way to the rear end and had the same problem (lack of low end). he redid the exhaust with 2.25" pipes all the way to the rear an got his low end back.

I don't know of a cheap way...but a full tune up, thorough throttle body cleaning and making sure your TPS voltage is correct may help.
After that you are probably looking at some kind of tuner.

Strange how these trucks vary...I felt like I gained low end with my exhaust and 14x3 over my FIPK and exhaust. But I'd certainly agree that the mid range is awesome. Between deathflash, 33 inch tires, and 3:55s, not to mention torque management, you have no low end anyway.
