Default New Ignition Wires Installed

I finished up my installation last night. Since we are on the topic of changing ignition, I thought I would post a few pics.

You know what's not sexy? A fuel leak. I just noted a leak at the feed supply 90-fitting. To all those who are looking to do fuel mods: DO NOT go with Summit fuel fittings. They will leak. Go with either Earls or Titefit 100%

Due to the design, the o-ring inside of these connectors weep. They are swivels which are real nice for placing the connectors exactly where you want them however, they weep and leak.

I just had hard start condition due to this. Once I popped the hood, it wasn't looking too sexy.

Good call. I buy alot of stuff from summit, by I would never actually buy their parts. Especially anything for the engine.

Where you able to get that plastic fuel line that hughes give you to work or did you use a hose like i did? That fuel rail looks really nice.

I did not use those types of lines. It is all SS-flex line throughout. Even the x-over supply is SS flex and, it's right in the front where you can get at it vs. in the rear where the OEM design placed it.

I hear you there. I usually go with Jiffy-tite or Earls. They conned me into it saying "hey, these are grrrrrreat for the money". Well BS, they are complete rubbish.

I am calling them tomorrow to let them know about these potential fire hazards that they are promoting with great enthusiasm. I have had nothing but problems with their s-h-i-t and now, someone over there is going to get an earful.

A top Indy car builder, Rob Stark, warned me about these after the fact. Hind sight is always 20:20.

one good thing about this is that chrysler cast the fireing order right there on top, my dads old mazda car we had to look online for the order cause the way it was in the book it wouldnt run and a real book too not a haynes or other aftermarket one, come to find out in 89 that car came in front wheel and rear wheel drive the front wheel fireing order was reversed.

Good looking system you have there, but fuel leaks really do suck.

Ill be using Aeromotive, Earls & Russel fittings front to back. Aeromotive Eliminator fuel pump, controller, their Pro regulator & 100 & 10micron filters. Russel 12an, 10an & 8an lines & KRC billet rails. Do have a Summit 20gal alum cell though, hope I dont regret that choice

Back on topic
Having electric fans, no shroud or viscous fan and an M1 intake make it much easier to swap cap/rotor/wires. I stand on the swaybar between fans/mtr and can see the distributor with nothing attached to the Hughes 55tb.
