Default Anyone used a hi-lift jack?

I need a jack that I can use on and off road to jack up my truck for tire changing. My truck has a 3.5 inch lift up front sitting on 33's so the factory jack won't work anymore. (It broke long ago anyways)

I'm not worried about the back bumper, but for quick tire changing, does anyone see any problem with using a hi-lift jack w/ the bumper adapter to lift from the slots in the front bumper?

High lift makes a Jack adapter that wraps underneath the rear bumper and also a sling that hooks into your wheel slots to lift there.

I highly recommend practicing with a new high lift before using it. Its a great tool, but a deadly weapon in the hands of a novice. You also want to keep it will oiled. If it's been in the elements. lube it well and make sure it works properly before using it.

I haven't needed mine in years but the one time I did, it saved my truck. I used it to winch my truck away from a narrow 25 foot ravine after I almost dropped a front tire off of it.

I also have a nasty dent in my tailgate from trying to use the reciever as a lift point...

Have carried the same 48" Hi-Lift since 1996. It lives under the toolbox in the bed of my truck.

Fantastic tool in the right hands! Can even be a winch with the right accessories.

I have the "off road base" which really stabilizes the thing anywhere, not just in soft dirt/mud and the bumper adapter.

I know a couple guys with the tire sling and they swear by it.

IMO it's the best option for a lifted truck and the versatility of it makes it a must have.

Hell, in my last house I used it as a come-along to put up a chain link fence...

I just want to know if it will damage my front bumper if I lift from the slot there. Ever tried it? If so I'm just gonna take a floor jack on a skid with me out to the desert.

I'm aware, I mentioned it in the first post.
