It smells like its running rich, and as for the oil pressure on idle it is normally 40 psi but now its almost off the normal range.

at idle your oil pressure should be around 35-40 psi and in my truck running down the road it gets as high as 80 psi or somewhere in the neighborhood. That's not a bad thing. Oil pressure is good. It means better lubrication. As far as running rich, are you throwing a check engine light?

To much oil psi you start blowing seals. Anything over 80-85 is excessive. maybe you have a piece of debris causing a blockage in a journal or what not.

it could just be smokeing because of all the times trying to start it.
It might have been geting fuel but no spark. Mine did the same thing and then went away.as far as oil pressure im lost on that mine never gose over 50psi

got it back from the shop today and it runs great. All the mechanic did was reset the computer, and put new battery terminals on it (i knew they were bad just never got around to changing them) all for $25. As for the oil pressure he said it was fine, and i drove it for an hour today and could not get the oil pressure to get as high as it did so i have no idea.
