Question Best wheel/hub bearing?

Hey guys i need to replace my drivers side wheel bearing and i was wondering what is the best brand to buy? And a lil fyi if anyone hasnt tried it yet my stepmother had an 08 1500 with a chrome locking gas door. Since she got rid of the truck i took it and put it on my truck and it fits perfectly ill post pictures up later.

yea and i used to work at autozone and allready checked out the prices and i just never sold any or heard of anyone using them i know the balljoints they sell are not the best i just didnt know about wheel bearings lol

Timken are THE standard for tapered roller bearings.... Where you get them doesn't matter.
Lube them up right and they'll last a long time.

yep- timken. found out a couple months ago that dodge used timken carrier bearings in the dana 44 axles.

Unfortunately, these are nothing like the sealed hub bearing units used on these trucks.

I thought the 1500's were all the same or is it just the 4X2 that isn't sealed?

The 2000 or2001 started using the sealed hub on 2wd's as well.

The discussion was about 4X4 models, all of which use the sealed hub bearing units and not tapered roller bearings. That is why I corrected you, Veeten.

I hear you Miami but I assumed the 1500's all had the same setup, But after what I've seen with my truck I see no Ram is CREATED the same in any model year....
