Default Tune up PROBLEM!! Help

Hey there....ok so this weekend I changed my plugs, wires, dist cap and rotor after fighting with my truck for hours finally finished but upon starting it she didn't turn over.. Then I tried again and she did but I started to smell burnt plastic and it seems like she isn't running as strong as she should be I really need help on this one cause I'm getting pretty frustrated and I'm about to take the deer slug to her so any amd All help would be great thanks

save that deer slug for a nice buck out in the woods...

and check all your wires and see if any are touching the headers.

How was it running before the tune up? And did you recheck your firing order on the cap. 18436572 this would be the firing order.

Sounds like you got wiring against something hot, or a loose connection. Retrace your steps and between that and your nose you'll find it.

No I haven't but will soon and it was running like it needed a tune up and I checked all the wires to see if they where touching but none of them where one of my friends said to check if the cap was on right but that baby would only go on one way

Do you have the wires routed according to the TSB?

does it feel like its misfiring? is it throwing a CEL?

the not turning over part at first is odd. did any wires get pinched in the distrib cap maybe for the crank sensor?

+1 should start on why it didnt turn over...Any fuses bad?

J415-this is my first time doing this so please explain.
95ram360- no it's not throwing code but I can feel a slightly stronger shake like my wire was arching.
Moparama- I haven't checked the cap yet and what would I be looking for in a pinched wire?
Ya Ima newbie everyone was at one point in time lol
