Let me run some numbers by yall
VEETEN to go off what you said. i wen to Vermont with my boss las february, and he has a 97 ram1500 5.2 4x4 long bed. we had worked 8 am-6pm, and we were on our way home at 3 in the am. he needed me to drive. it was snowing very lightly out. had a nice dusting on the road. he has 33/12.50/15 bfg M/t's. I was going 40 mph on the highway in 4high. gaveit a little gas and i ran into a 6 inch pile of snow, set the truck right into a 360. did 3 of them and came 6 1/2 inches fom the guardrail (we measured)
so i can only imagine what its like going real fast and hitting something.
Ive burried my needle on a straightaway near canada when i was hunting. straight away was like 3 miles long no joke. i was so scared when i hit the brakes to slow down, and it vibrated like crazy...(which is why i replaced pads and rotors)

yeah you really have to be careful where you drive at high speeds.
Around here 6 months out of the year due to the snow and ice you have to worry about everything when driving, you, other people, road conditions, and stop lights changing. If you dont then you are going to plow right into another car without being able to slow down.
Ive been into some hairy situations but have always found a way to get up on the curb to stop myself in the snow...Knock on Wood
Plus 115 is nothing, in a big truck it sucks but in a car its way better, or at least a stock truck. i got a 2001 cummins turbo 4 door long box up to 120 at about 2000 rpms and she still had alot left in her and it was like glass. (only 10,000 mile on the truck)

My 5.2....
Anywhere between 12.5-16.3 Just depends on how I drive, and the weather.
My top speed? LOL Don't hate on this, but I have been fortunate enough to be able to get out on a 5 mile straight stretch of highway and let it drop to the floor. GPS claims 122 when the speedometer is pegged.
Im lucky I dont have to worry about ice or snow and the roads are pretty flat down here and even against a strong wind I can break 100 and was surprized by how straight it will run against the wind
thats as bad as guys who buy a 6 banger in a truck and bitch it has no towing power. be like buying a viper with a 4cyl and wonder why its top speed is 65mph down a mountain side.lol stop crying and buy a gas card.lol
i got mine too top out racing an accord, will never do that agian :/.... amazingly my truck was steady and i was doing it on M/T tires .. dunno if it wasbecause my truck is short being a single cab/short bed .... the fastest i will go is 90-100
