my electrical problem consisted of this.

Started out by when i hit the left blinker, the blinker wouldnt flash but the reverse lights would.

Tore the dash apart, and found two melted wires (PIN 7, and the same color wire out of a diff. connector)

replaced them, then i had no lights. except running tail lights, headlights, and third brake light. nothing else worked. hazards would flash on the dash but not on the vehicle.

took out the two new wires i put in, and it went back to stage 1.

followed the wires from the tail lights to the front of the chassis, and when i got to the first connector off the tail light, the ground was not connected/ corroded off

Re-wired it and it fixed the whole problem. and the two wires that i took out were my cig. lighter i later found out.

I checked the connector and all 3 wires were good. So I pulled out the CPS to see if it was bad. Now I have never seen one of these in person but the bottom of the sensor that goes inside the trans looked like it was melted. Not sure if it is supposed to look weird like that or not.

Ill have to clean the sensor first before I take a picture of it. Its really dirty and hard to see it.

Anyhow I put the new CPS in and it fired up right away. The only problem is it wont go into any gear. If I don't push the clutch down and just move it into a 3rd or 4th I can hear it grind for a second like its kinda working. Anyone know whats wrong? Do I just need a new clutch?
