Sorta. The taller the filter the more air that can be used.

I know it's dirty looking, but I'm working on it one part at a time.

Just ensure that you get the updated throttle body hat for the intake. I have this intake and if they send you the older design, you won't be able to hit full travel of the throttle linkage. I just got mine in from Spectre a couple of days ago to fix the issue. Still have to install it. I think this is a good alternative to the pricey $300 intakes that look exactly the same with a different sticker on them.

That's false, only drop base Air Cleaners require a 1/2" spacer. All round air cleaners require an "S" bolt to mount up. You can either buy one, or make one and save $10. All you need to do is go to Home Depot and get a foot or so of 1/4"x20 all thread and bend and cut to the length you need.

The Mopar Performance Air cleaner, which is not a drop base, does not require a spacer/adapter of any kind.

The one that Adam has (96magnumram) is the edelbrock air cleaner you can buy at just about any auto parts store. I actually sold that very same air cleaner to him, and that particular air cleaner does require a 1/2" spacer in order to clear the TB linkage.

dodgeman2289- you really should search this topic, there are so many threads on the 14x3 air cleaners its insane. There is even a nice DIY on here somewhere.

In my opinion the 14x3 with k&n is still the best way to go as far as bang for the buck is concerned.
