you know you could always go the route that jasonw went and put your headlights on relays and use the Eurolite 100w/80w high/low headlight bulbs.

well, today i took and did the conversion on my passenger side....these are both cheap bluish bulbs off of ebay, the drivers side 9004 isnt very old......heres a cellphone pic, it speaks for itself, was an amazing difference

when i switch the drivers side ill take pics of how to swap the wires, and i have some other old plain 9007s in the garage that i may do a side by side for comparison with the blue bulb

pictures don't really do headlights any justice. how about a short video just going from high beams to low beams?

i did the drivers side the other day, just haven tgotten around to puttin up these pics, i did it with the battery and tray in place, if you have big hands or are impatient, then i advise you to remove it because there is not much slack in the harness

1st thing is to remove this plastic retainer from the back, its not hard, just get a screwdriver and push in on the tabs and pry it off

aright, looking at it like this, you will be swapping the middle and right wires, i believe they are black and purple

to release the clip holding the wire in, i took a bobby pin and removed the plastic on the end and slid it in, you can use a small screwdriver also

after it is in like that, pull on the wire from the other side, or push from the front side and it should slide out the back like so:

do the same with both wires and then swap them, push it back up in making sure it is turned correctly and it should pop back in to place...replace the white cap on the back and youre done with the wiring side of things

now in your housing there are 3 small nubs, only the top one will ine up with the 9007, i took a knife and cut the other 2 off very easy, the hardest part was getting my hand in a good spot with out dropping my knife in the fender, since i have euros, i took a pic from the outside so you can see the nubs and my blade

and here is the bulb that i replaced the 9004s with....dont you love ebay craftsmanship its says theyre like 80/100w, but i doubt it

i had one of these in one side and an old eaglite 9007 bulb in the other side and they were about the same.....i like these ebay ones cause theyre not too blue, but i plan on getting some better ones in the future
