I am thinking about buying my friends AFE cold air intake off of his 2001 dodge ram 2500 diesel but i have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 gas and just want to make sure it would fit before i buy it and if it doesn't maybe a few modifications can be made to make it work. im not sure so i asked please help. THank you

 

it should fit with some slight modification. you could pick up a stock air hat from a dakota, or durango with a 5.2 or 5.9 and
bolt the intake tube up to that. and make an "s" bolt to hold the air hat down, or you can grab the mounting bolt and nut as well while youre getting the air hat.

you just have to get creative with it.

 

Do you have pics of the intake system? I'm interested in getting one for my "96". 2nd Gen "94-01" gas models all have the same intake manifolds?

 

yes, a 2nd gen is a 94-01 1500, 94-02 2500/3500 if it is a magnum motor, its got the same intake setup
