Leak Detection Pump location
Well I search the site, and nothing, everything i found lead me to a brick wall.
Anyways heres what I got...
01 Ram 1500 QC 4x4 360 Auto
Key trick shows P1494 code, which is for the Leak Detection Pump switch thing...
anyways, where is this pump located, and also where abouts do I start to diagnose this problem, as I've read in the few posts that are on here about this that a guy replaced the pump 3 times, and still has the code, as well as the MIL, and thats about as far as that post went...
any help is appreciated... thanks in advance...
Also Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.

To the OP: Sorry your thread turned to isht. C'mon guys, post a new topic already.
Sounds like maybe your evap system is having an issue. The evap "switch" is that thing that all the thick rubber hoses go to on the passenger side of the engine bay behind the passenger head light. Check those rubber hoses for cracks. If that isn't it, check the wiring to the unit that those hoses plug into. If that still isn't it, try replacing the unit in the in the middle of those hoses.

squirrels thanks, i didnt even notice it changes to chit, its all good, no hard feelings, and thanks, ill have to check those out tommrow when i get a chance to look at it again.
I think that code will also pop if a canister is bad. If after checking what aim4squirles recommended (maybe even a smoke test on those rubber tubes), check the tubes around the canisters underneath the center rear vehicle. Those charcoal canisters are not cheap, I think you can find an aftermarket one for the rectangle one, but the round one is hard to find. You can also look into rebuilding them with new activated charcoal.
