And what octane level do you have it set at, 87 or 92? 3923 plugs as well, by chance?

Sheriff: As far as your stealership reprogramming it for you... they are going against Chrysler corporate by doing that. Did you explain to them exactly what you meant by "stock timing", otherwise they may think you had it custom programmed and are wanting the death flash reinstalled.

that's a good point. i specifically asked if they could advance the timing to set it back to what it was from the factory. i guess i should call again with the death flash tsb number ready to make sure that they don't think i'm talking about setting it to that.

dealer cannot/will not reinstall pcm programming other than the "latest revision" from Dodge. you're wasting your time talking to them. the original timing version has been obsoleted. kaput. gone.

As usual +1 for Vaughn. Sheriff, you'd be better off taking the PCM out and smashing it with a ball peen hammer. Trying to get the Stealership to do anything PCM related is completely useless. On my 99 2500 I had your same thought, even had an "inside connection" at my local stealership. 3 different trips, and not a damn thing, It actually ran worse.

Superchips is my friend too.

unfortunatly no. the reason they didnt is because the 97 was a mix of OBD1 and OBD2 then 98 was straight OBD2(per federal regulations) i think hypertech makes one though...not 100% sure.
