I just ordered the hughes plenum fix kit today. So you guys are saying to use a different belly pan gasket then what comes in the kit? Do you guys have part numbers and would Autozone, Advance, or Napa carry the Felpro?

Well i would scuff the engine enamel. But would it stick after that? And if so would it burn off?

Here you go. http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_Intake-Manifold-Gasket-Set-Felpro_15780605-P_102_R%7CGRPGASKAMS_842490158______

I'm not saying that the gasket that comes with the kit wouldn't work. Its just that the FelPro gasket has a lot more substance to it and since the belly pan gasket comes with the FelPro intake gasket set, why not use the better one?

Alright, if the rain brakes tomorrow I am going to tear her down. I have a question about the intake manifold Torque to Yield bolts. I understand the general opinion is to always replace these and not reuse them. Well, I am having a hard time finding replacement TTY bolts, none of my local auto parts stores carry them, would the Dealer have them in stock? Has anyone just went ahead and re used them without failure? And if I had to, could I just go down to Ace and just replace them all with solid Stainless Steel bolts?

Thankyou very much!

About the TTY bolts, I had to order them from Advance. It only took 1 day for them to arrive. DO NOT reuse the old bolts. They change shape after they are used. Hardware bolts could possibly work, but I would play it safe and order some. FelPro has those too lol.

Might be a little after the fact, but both Hughes and APS offer install kits for the plate that come with new TTY bolts for it. As well as new TTY's for the intake.

you can knock it out in a day if you don't start 2 hours before dark like i did. then start again the next day only to give up after 45 minutes to go fishing. then start again the next day an hour before dark.

it took me a few days.
