Unhappy Truck lost power while hauling uphill

Ok so i have an 01 ram 1500 360.. Heres a little background info first.. i was towing mine and my buddies quads this weekend out to go riding.. i was goin up a hill (70mph, 3000rpm) when the truck started shuttering and losing power. my check engine light started flashing.. then it started miss firing.

i made it home later that day hooked it up to the little diagnostic comp- it read random misfire.. i pulled the cap and rotor (which are only 3months old along with plugs and wires) to find the rotor was worn to hell and the rivet holdin the contact was loose. I replaced both cap and rotor, cleared the code and the truck runs a little better but still idles like crap. its idling like its missing but no longer reading a code.. i took it out for a drive trying to see if anything would pop up.. nothing.. it still runs very rough (especially when taking off from a dead stop).. any ideas on what it could be would be much appreciated.. tomorrow morning I'm going to check each cylinder for spark individually and then move on towards the injectors and take it from there

I would do as you are saying, check each cylinder for spark then go from there. Good luck!

Check the plugs while your testing spark. Check the plug wires themselves for burns or arcing marks. Reroute the per TSB to prevent crossfiring.

A gasket that blows. Which cost you power and mpg's and makes our trucks run ruff.
