Frustrated with waiting on parts.
Last Tuesday I took my truck in to get the freshly rebuilt tranny adjusted. I also had the TPS replaced, and the outer bearing in the badly leaking rear end replaced.
While I was having all this work done I figured that I would finally get my spindle lift installed. I have the knowhow and the skill, but between school and work I haven't been able to find the time to be without my truck for.
I figured last week would be a fantastic time to get the spindles installed, as I had no school all week.
They got all my work done no problem, and free! (Warranty work/ the shop manager and I have developed a good relationship and he waved the waiver on my spindle install.)
Here's the snag. The spindle lift states nowhere in the literature about needing any additional parts other than the spindles. They went in no problem, and are actually easier to work around than the OEM spindles said the tech. The problem was that my brake lines are now 3 inches too short. (Which is why I made that desperate post last week about brake lines.)
I called the MFG, (Doetsch Enterprises) and they basically played the ignorance card. After much pressing I finally got them to admit that their solution was to unbolt the factory hard lines, and leave them dangling. Dangling! What a joke.
I ordered extended length stainless steel hoses on Tuesday, which were supposed to ship Friday. I called the store that I ordered them from today and it turns out that they would Prolly ship today or possibly tomorrow.
So long story short, I'll prolly be out of my truck until Wed. Gah, I'm just frustrated. Figured this would be a great place to vent.
Any of you other guys have any good "waiting for parts" stories?

I know how waiting for parts can be. Back almost 2 years ago now when my truck was down with the transmission for a bit and I did all the other repairs I had to order a bunch of stuff and wait for it to come in.
Few days? WOW
Waited a month for Energy Suspension full kit, ended up cancelling the order with summit cause as the date got closer they kept extending it another week. Ended up getting them from ESparts.com and the c arms had the wrong upper sleeves. All said & done 2 1/2 months.
KRC billet fuel rails, 3months to the day
Northern Rad 2 core monster rad 3 1/2 months
One piece chrome headlights/signals, 4months 2weeks (ebay supplier grrr)
Some of the pieces in my fuel system like the 12an to 8an Y block & 10an to 8an Y blocks a 2months, tight radius full flow 180* 8an hose end 1.5months.
Took me a couple months to get my trans built cause they were having trouble finding the 6gr planets up here.
Procharger D-1SC w/3core, took almost 5months but that was so I could get a deal from supplier. His trailer was stateside and had to wait for his race team to bring it back up here.
If I can get parts in a week or two, Im happy these days lol

Nobody stocks performance parts for Mopar's. Pretty much a fact that I've gotten used to. Either way, hopefully tomorrow!
I'm going threw the same thing with them right now!!! I'm waiting on a master cylinder for almost a month now. The shipping date has been pushed back every other day. I finally got pissed enough to call them and talk to them (in a civil way). Now there gonna ship it straight from the manufacturer. It should be here Wensday...we'll see.

Hint, attend Mopar only shows to balance out the negativity.
Dodge= clueless ignorant mechanics/parts guys who usually laugh behind your back. Hint, if you don't see a Dodge in the employees parking, you're probably screwed. Hiint, a "Mopar" guy who's Mopar is a60's -70's muscle car in his garage, (but drives another brand daily) is not a Mopar expert.

I know how that goes on sat I was going to replace both hubs got the parts store they had ONE!! The guy was very nice and called 3 other stores (I mean NAPA ECT) and they didn't have one in stock. But when I got to the kids house he made a call a found one but it would have been nice to show up with 2 not just 1.
