Are you serious?

Fellow Purple Dodge, I would search up some of Viper37's posts. IIRC he had a 2'' lift on his 2WD Ram.

Yeah, I'm serious. To my knowledge they don't. The 2X4 models have a wishbone A-arm suspension, not control arms. Control arms are the longitudinal bars (2 per side) mounted to the frame that locate the front axle on 4X4 models.

Whattt??
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Control_arm

What's a 2x4 Ram? A 2x4 is a piece of wood.

A 4x2 refers to a vehicle that are 4 wheeled, two driven. Or in the case of most pickup trucks, 4X2 and 4X1.

Most people I know refer to them as A-arms so as not to confuse them with a live axle 4X4, since those models have no A-arms. An A-arm is specific, whereas a control arm could be an A-arm or it could be the straight bars we 4X4 owners know as control arms. If someone tells me control arm, I instictively think they are talking about a 4X4. If they say A-arm I know they mean a 4X2.

Ok, so you know that control arm could also mean a-arm. So how is control arm specific to a link-attached axle? Wouldnt a specific for a live link axle be links? Hence where we get 4-link from? DUH. We dont have do get specific though. Call it what you want, but you cant make the assumption that everyone calls a frickin control arm a a-arm.
