Default 2wd ball joints

I am looking at replacing my ball joints, bushings, and pitman arm in a 94 2wd, what I'd like to know is if I am going to need any special tools, specifically, a hydraulic press, and if I will need any particular dies to press the ball joints in and out.

You will need a press kit, commonly available for loan at auto parts stores.
These have all the cups/adapters you will need.
You will also need a pickle fork to separate the ball joint, and a BFH [big fkin hammer].

For pitman you will need a pitman puller, also available for loan.

I had to make an adapter for the rental press as one was too tall and the other was too large in diameter.

I easily found all I needed with Murrays kit.
I didn't need to take off the rotors, and for support I simply [with front tires off] lowered the control arms on to jack stands.
Make sure to have a milk crate handy to set the rotor on, if you are not going to take them off.

I think he meant to say caliper, if you dont take the caliper all the way off to set it on the milk crate so its not dangling by the brake lines

I usually hang the caliper using a piece of wire.
