Default Opinions?? !!

I have a 99 ram with quad cab and a 318 with 201k. Body is good and is in good running condition. I have a trade offered to me for a 95 ram no ext cab, with a 360 5 speed, new clutch, good running condition, cab corner rust and a rusty rear bumper. 112k, on his. both are 4x2. is this a good deal for me? any help would be appreciated.

Well, do you need a 2500? There were no 5 speeds in the 1500 360......

I wouldn't do it. there are three downgrades, 1) older. 2) body rust. 3) no extra cab. for one upgrade 1) drivetrain. and there is nothing wrong with yours it still gets you from point a to b. I mean there is a reason he wants your truck right?

I guess I didnt know it was a 2500. He wants mine because of the Ext cab. Not worth the more powerful engine? I always here how the 360 is so much better. I really appreciate your opinions. Keep them coming.

It is a 1500. Not a 2500. I just asked him. The rust in the only thing that really scares me. But how much longer will my 318 really last?

either this guy has a custom truck or hes trying to pull a fast one on you because like laraime1997 said there werent any 1500 360's made cause if there was I would have one. I didnt even know that they made 2500 360's with sticks

your 318 can last many more miles, and the 318's will outlast the 360. i got the 360 due to the fact that you can do more with them. (upgrades) and like they said above if there was a 5 speed 360 id have one too lol. this is my first auto in 4 years.

when it comes to reliability I think the 318's have the 360's beat even if it is just with the number produced and still running. I happen to have a 360 in my truck but would be just as happy if it were the 318. others will hopefully chime in and not leave me hanging, but I think the 318 is a great engine.

Ok well ive now seen it. It is a stock 5 speed. 1500 work truck series, with heavy duty coils and springs. He said its a w/t model. It shifts nice. Has a ton of power. Having a stick is a real perk. Im almost about to do it. I told him Id let him know in the morning.
