Default Water gurgling sound

I've had a gurgling sound under the dash that sounds like water for the past year or so. I thought it may be the heater core but I figured it would be leaking by now.

Could it be air in the system?

On other thing, it doesn't seem to be all the time.

I have same sound at startup only. I have a leak in my A/C system and a friend of mine told me it is probably just the freon. Like you I have no water leaks.

that sound is usually air in the coolant system....you can usually bleed it out by parking on an angle or jacking up truck so the radiator cap side is higher and remove the cap and start truck....turn on heat and keep adding fluid till its to the top...reinstall cap and unless you have a leak somewhere it will be gone...(btw it could be leaking and be under the carpet as there is a rubber mat at the base of the carpet that could prevent the carpet from getting wet....I peeled up my carpet to run stereo wiring and the padding was soaked.) wasnt my heater core though....I had a leaky softplug causing my fluid to drop..
