bigger tires dont only help with axle clearance. Have you ever been rolling around on your creeper and hit a nut or bolt that was lying on the ground? it locks the wheel up and you skid to a halt. Now try rolling over the same nut or bolt with a 35" tire. The comparison is a little extreme, but im sure you get the idea.

so i should just buy a kit instead of trying to piece this together cheaper ?

Also the drive shaft should be fine as i will only be at like 5'' suspension correct ?

I have 35'' mickey Thompson on it now, so im just gonna stick with those, what shocks would you guys recommend if they dont come in the package ?

And do the drop trac bar and pitman arm and transfercase ring come with the susp. package ?

Thanks

Edit:
Ive found these lift springs

I think the 5'' might be what i want now but ill always wonder what the 7'' would look like, what would you guys suggest for the rear ? Ill need another like 3'' back there, would a block be fine ? Also where can i get the trac bar bracket ?

Also will this drop pitman arm work fine ?

1- Yes Buy a Kit, comfirm before purchasing that it has the parts and pieces you need. Less headaches later on.

2-Not 100% sure, but the driveshaft angle should not cause bind issues.

4-See my first answer

remember that a 5" lift will only add 3" to your truck from stock height. your off-road package came with 2" of lift from the factory but the new lift kit will replace all the factory stuff. basically, when you do the tear town, you will be removing 2", then when you install the lift you will be adding 5", netting you 3".

You stated that you already have 2" coil spacers, added to your 2" factory lift so you already have a 4" lift... get it?

Its almost always better to buy a complete kit. unless you really know your stuff and find awsome deals on everything, piecing it together will just nickle and dime you to death.

well besides the added offroad capability better traction on and off road (more tire surface on the road) more complements and a look I like better on a pickup..(look at how many buy a pickup for the image alone and never even use the bed!)..yes frivolous things like the look sometimes matter to me and most others here and everyone has their own preference whether its stock, drop or lift. I also love the fact that I can work on the underside of my truck and do things like service the tranny and oil changes very easily without the use of a jack!.....undercoating the frame and rhinolining the rockers (which are higher up and less likely to rust if I ever park it on the grass or in mud which sometimes happens) is much easier as well....
and the last reason....I just find that people are that much more likely to get/stay the hell out of my way!

i thought the off road package basically came with a coil spacer, i may be wrong but isnt that what they do now?

Best way for lift is a kit, thats why they sell them. A good cheap kit with everything is from rough country, and it come with shocks.

They do not come with drop pitman arm or transfer case indexing ring unless you get the skyjacker 7 inch kit which comes with indexing ring.

Pittman arms are not that expensive neither are the indexing rings

the off roads dont come with a coil spacer, the only thing up there is a little thin piece of rubber.
