Gauges don't work after inspection
ya they are getting power, the back lighting works and you can see the water temp and battery voltage gauges climb to zero when you turn the key to ign on, and they fully sweep their entire range during the self check after pulling codes 900, 920, 921, 940, 950 and 999 all relating to circuit high or open. thanks sheriff i will go back and check the fuses under the dash before i raise cain. i like the fact that he said that they were like that when i gave him the truck, if so... why would a state inspector pass a truck without a working speedo? hmm...
probably didnt help it was raining yesterday. i watched him the whole time and he didnt screw around, but that doesnt mean his equipment didnt.
thanks for the suggestions, ill keep yall updated.

no fuses are out, left the battery disconnected overnight, no luck. tried to restore the stock programing and it failed at the calibrating speedo portion and did not flash. dead pcm it sounds like. how would i go about getting the shop to pay for this? i cannot be faulted for bringing a working vehicle in for an inspection that im not allowed to do myself. funny the ONLY time my truck gets messed up is when OTHER people touch it. any advice would be appriciated. looks like im going to have to get her towed to dodge and have them check it out. if my pcm is dead, does that mean that my SC 3715 is screwed because its currently VIN locked?
odometer is also flashing forgot to mention that.

you could call the state inspection police. i'm not sure the proper name but i mean the people that the inspection stations have to report to. tell them that either the shop passed your truck with a burned up pcm or they screwed it up in the process of the inspection because it was giving you trouble the minute you started it to leave the shop.
and don't talk to a low level employee, ask to talk to a supervisor or some other sort of big boss.

I would make them fix it and pay for it no matter what your truck was in working order befor you took it and after it was not. It been said and i say it again talk to the boss but dont start yelling or fighting with them. If you have to scary them alittle by telling them you well take them to court if it is not fixed. I would also talk to the inseption guy to, if they did something wrongy they can get fine big time and if it a smaller shop it could pretty much put them out of buss.
ya they actually came out and looked at my truck while it was still at the shop yesterday. she cited the inspector and thats it. he said he didnt even look at the gauges. small claims court is my only option and i just dont have the year its gunna take to get the money out of this place.
so im out $50-100 for dodge to check it on their diagnostic equipment since no scanners can even pull codes from it so far.
if its the pcm im out $200 give or take, plus my 3715 is vin locked to that pcm so idk what im going to do there with the whole gettin my VIN in the new pcm im sure dodge can do that.
anyone know if the odometer reading is stored in the pcm? a coworker had to replace his pcm or ecm (he doesnt really know) and had to give the mileage and VIN for his van.
im going to pull the guage cluster and check look it over throughly (might do the LEDs since ill be in there) if its shot, a new cluster is in order.
