Audio ???'s
first of all the best way to do this if u just want loud in ur truck is a walmart setup 1000watt amp and two sony xplod subs however on the box i would go to an audio store for the box. a cheap box sounds like a cheap box spend the extra money get a good box. while at the audio store i would pick up some 400 watt 6x9s they seem to be best for just replacing the wore out factory door speakers and i would get some 50 to 100 dollar tweeters and any head unit that u like. ill get back to u on the links
I've tried searching for ideas, but can't find anything that I need. I want a new sound system, but I don't want anything that rattles the windows of every house on the block. I want something loud though. I want to replace the front and rear speakers and add sub(s). Also a new HU. I also want to do everything properly with correct wiring.
I'm not to educated on car audio so any help would be appreciated. I do have some questions. What are caps? and what all do I need?
Also could anyone out there possibly setup a parts list with links that I could look at.
Thanks in advanced.

I hope it doesn't get cold where you are. Because the first time you cranked those speakers in the cold, you can kiss your woofers good bye. I've seen them up here and in 20*F weather, the plastic cones shatter and destroy the speaker as you can imagine.
I relate Sony Speakers and Amps to Durabrand and Dual. Imported piles of junk that you would be lucky to even get a year out of. I have a buddy of mine that built an entire system for his blazer out of nothing but durabrand and sony for a budget sound compet. He won, but would you like to take a guess as to what he did with the entire system when he got home? It pulled it all and threw it in the trash as they were junk.
Why pay the money for that type of system? It's a waste unless you think you are a ricer.
SIDE NOTE- Learn how to use grammar, please.
thats because sony doesnt make speakers period....they rebrand others....
and 400watt 6x9's.....you better be using a good sized amp to power them or they will sound like tin cans.(cones are very stiff and require more power to move them right)....too many people make the mistake of buying the biggest wattage speakers they can find only to feed them with a 18 watt max/4 watt rms HU....stupid idea and very large waste of money....like putting 40" tires on a 4cylinder truck without even changing the gearing....silly.
and as for the import comment find me some that aren't imports....In case you haven't noticed america is no longer an industrial nation....we buy thing not make them..our upper class gets rich off this why our lower middle class suffers..(and then wonder why its hard to find job) and our lowset class lives better by taking free money they never earned and spends it on lottery tickets cigarettes booze, drugs, and spend more on their rides rims than there children in many cases then blow the rest at walmart on crap they throw away every few weeks! (not always but more than not)
like I said earlier when properly set up and utilized even much of the cheap crap works well....believe it or not even walmart has standards...low ones to tailor to our throw away society and help put higher quality stores and goods out of business, but standards...

Sorry for not responding, winter came and kicked Iowas ***. Anyways, i'm keeping the HU, but switching the speakers to something different. I like the HU for what it offers. Still not sure of the amp or subs. Anyways thanks for all the info.
cool... Then I would recommend to try to find some speakers that are only around 120-180 watts max....there rms power requirments should be met by a stock head unit....and you will be happier with the sound.
I've never bought a system for a vehicle so this is a really good learning experience for me. When I get to a computer I'll put up a list of what I might get. Since I'm sticking with the HU, what amp and sub would compliment the setup the best. I'm looking for something that has good base, but won't rattle the windows.
Okay so I reselected the front and rear speakers.

Still unsure about sub and amp.
