I got 165k on my '95 2500 5.9 4x4.
Held up pretty well, me being the second owner. Tranny replaced when it was brand new from plowing I believe. Second cat, torque converter is shot I think, leaks oil like a mother, probably out the intake and valve covers. Overall it's an awesome solid truck.

Hi i have a 1995 4x4 1500 and the tranny went out after 1000 mi from when i bought it. It has 148,000 i here dodge is known for bad trannies. I tell you what this was the first dodge tranny i have ever pulled what a pain. they didnt give u any room unlike my chevys
I agree, My truck does alot of towing so I service the tranny every 15k I am sure that had something to do with it lasting so long
I really want to love this truck, but it's fighting me on it. I have only had it for about 3 months, and have already had it go crazy on me. First I found out that the previous owner manipulated the throttle cable going to the tranny causing it to not kick into OD so quickly (which is what he was shooting for), but this also caused it to bybass 2nd gear, which eventually caused 1,2, and 3rd gear to sieze together. Rebuilt $1500...
Then right after I had this done, I ran into my rough idling, hard starting, wanting to stall issue. Changed Fuel Pump, IAC, and then o2 sensor... Finally got Check Engine after o2 replaced.
I believe this is my truck asking me for help, because deep down, it want's me to love it! ha!
