Chrysler/Dodge has had a light for the ignition switch as far back as the early 1970's.

Neither my '75 Ramcharger or my '79 Powerwagon had the ignition halo on them nor did my '86 Jeep CJ7.

What about a direct light? The halo design didn't come into being until the 90's, but I know most Chrysler vehicles had a light, that would illuminate the ignition switch, back then. It looked like a small, flattened dome, protruding from the column.

Same here. I believe it's been stated before, but the 94-97 rams headlight switch didn't light up. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong anyone.

Dodge trucks I have had:'73 '81 '86 '96.
The only light any of them had to light up the ignition switch
would have been if the dome light was on.

My switch lights up from time to time. I usually have to turn it on and off a couple of times for it to light up...short or lose connection maybe?
