trade question...help me decide

i have a 01 ext cab s-10 120,000 miles 2.2 5spd run's great has some issue's..has some body damage dent's dings and some rust, needs new third door and passenger side rear quarter panel needs cut and welded in..due to rust, the truck is from the north. has a lifter making a lil noise and the a/c only blows on 4..what i dont like is all the rust...also need's new clutch...overall truck is in good condition just need's some tlc... im thinking about trading for a 95 dodge 2500 4x4 130,000 miles on 39's dana 80's air lockers fuel injected 360 runs great and cool...need's alignment, front bushings, ball joints and some paint and the ignition switch need's fixed but work's...i want to trade and probably will im just scared of 1. the gas milage 2.if it will stay as reliable as the s-10 .3 good enough to use as a d/d till i get my other truck running.. i love chevy's and wanted to drop the s-10 4/6 and have a nice little street truck but my other chevy is going to be my street-truck 98 silverado 1500 ext.cab 305 fuel-injected 5/8 drop on it, i dont need 2 dime's...i have always wanted a lifted up 4x4 cause all my buddy's have trucks they take to the woods and get stuck and play,hunt,fish..i also like doing that so thats another reason i want the dodge...im just stuck on deciding...i love the s-10 for the fuel-milage but love the dodge cause it's big and bad...any help will be appreciated

Dodges are known to have Plenum gasket issues, fuel pump, front end, and transmission issues.

but once you get those replaced they're great!

i get 13-14 mpg's city with my 5.9L 4x4, and around 16-18 highway, but ive dumped alot of money into it. and my truck is not stock, except for the height

im an idiot... had a whole thing writen up... but now i change... if it has the 360... it dont got the dana 80... at most it has 60 front 70 rear... the 8-s are for the 3500 cummins... but stilll if it has the 60 front and rear its a great axle.... and the gas milage is goign to depend on if the person that has the truck now, regeard thsoe danas...

im pretty sure the axle's are not stock there pretty big...and i plan on getting the gears done if not already from prievous owner..i was looking on this forum and i do know the Plenum gasket issues which is an easy fix...im just worried about the tranny i hope it dont go out...when i test drove it the truck kinda shifted hard into gear and when i was driving i hit a big bump and it knocked the truck into nuetrual...but im sure it's all little thing's...so i hope and id be happy w/ 13-14 mpgs city especially on 39's but ima put 37's on it

would you guy's trade???

yea if it is a straight up trade i would do it... but to commetn on those axles... i dont see why anyone would take out 60s... which will hold up to a 46inch tire,,, without hesitation.... there is no reason to put 8-s in it, not to mention i have never heard of a front 80... or a front 70... 60s are pretty big..

but if it shifts hard... that could be a good thing, or it cold be a bad thing, really bad thing. but at 130k if the trans hasnt been rebuilt or replaced already.. ridin on 39's expect that in the near future...
