cool, you just confirmed exactly what I suggested earlier in the thread..... people dont realize how much burnt oil can fowl things up.....the cat likely took a real beating too and very well might be close to being plugged ane restricting performance...
the marvel/water trick works great too and steam cleans everything in minutes.....many use that procedure on the vw forum...

I guess what I'm really saying dont be surprised at all if its almost plugged with the oil soot deposits from runnning it with a blown plenum....if you inspect it and replace it if partially clogged you would see a large improvement in performance..

i did not get into everything i have done recently but i also had to change my cat and o2 sensors, cat was completely shot, i also completely cleaned throttle body and sensors and replaced iac with a new one, did it all at once while i had the plenum off, also did the water pump, t stat and all hoses but that was another issue lol
