I was just throwing that in for fun. I suspect it is so they don't have to stock your atf fluid and my atf fluid at the dealer. They just stock one. But in all seriousness I think the latter 2nd gens used the atf +4 like I suggested he used. I would put money down that his 2000 uses ATF+4 to begin with. Anway like the TSB says. ATF +4 superscedes the previous so it isn't going to hurt using it anyway.

 

It probably had ATF+3 in it. The switch to ATF+4 came in 2001 to deal with a converter shudder problem that was occuring.
